Medical Simulators

VirtaMed is the world leader in simulation training for minimally invasive surgery.

We believe that all patients should experience surgical excellence by well trained doctors. Our simulators combine virtual reality graphics with adapted original instruments and anatomic models for realistic tactile feedback.

Professional Trainers

We collaborate with a team of experts for simulation training and teaching methods.

The STAN Institute provides technical and non-technical training to medical teams. Created by pilots, it transposes the simulation teaching capabilities from aviation to healthcare. The STAN Institute will help to increase both performance and safety within operating rooms.

Mobile Simulation Lab

Train at your own pace, in front of your own place.

We will visit you at your hospital with our mobile surgical simulation laboratory, equipped with 2 simulators. Two Training & Education experts will assist your residents in enhancing their  skills through simulation training. Teaching goals include using an endoscope, triangulation skills, and bi-manual operation.

Human Factors Training

Perform at your best in the OR, beyond the technical skills.

An experienced instructor from STAN Institute will provide your residents an opportunity to develop vital skills such as stress management, team work, verbal and non-verbal communication and decision-making under time pressure. The workshops are specifically designed for surgeons and other medical professionals.

Testimonials

ArthroS™

"The next generation of surgeons will certainly use mixed reality simulation training in a systematic way in their training, and we see VirtaMed as the partner of choice to achieve this. The ArthroS™ is fantastic!"

Prof. Romain Seil, Head Division of Neurosciences and Musculoskeletal Diseases
CENTRE HOSPITALIER DE LUXEMBOURG, LUXEMBOURG

LaparoS™

"What stands out is that LaparoS™ includes the whole procedural preparation: the positioning of the patient and the placement of the trocars. Then there is the practical part – the step by step learning across different levels."

Prof. Dieter Hahnloser, Head Physician Visceral Surgery
CHUV LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND

GynoS™

"In terms of hysteroscopy training, I am convinced that the VirtaMed GynoS™ simulator is the most relevant solution available on the market. It is the presence of VirtaMed that allows us to have a hysteroscopy workshop that is really efficient."

Dr. Vincent Villefranque, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology
HOPITAL SIMONE VEIL, PARIS, FRANCE

UroS™

"The TURP module offers urologic surgeons a very realistic training with a wide range of prostate anatomies, pathologies and operative complications. The basic skills training with outside views guides the trainee and shows the important landmarks used for orientation. Color schemes mark the sections where to resect - and where to stop. Thus, urologists can practice to perfection without any risk for the patient and then transfer this experience to the OR."

Prof. Michael Müntener, Head of Urology Department
TRIEMLI HOSPITAL, ZURICH, SWITZERLAND
