Hone your skills using VirtaMed virtual reality simulators, and accelerate the time needed to gain competency. This guided, hands-on arthroscopy course complements the otherwise theoretical program of the FORTE Summer School, allowing you to put into practice the instruction you receive at FORTE. Virtual reality simulation accelerates early stages of training when the learning curve is steepest and when access to hands-on experience is hardest to obtain. This course provides an unmissable opportunity for young surgeons with limited exposure to arthroscopy to gain introductory training.
Participants will also have first access to VirtaMed Connect, an online platform that enables you to take your performance reports with you for your own review or to share with your colleagues. It is available on any of your personal devices at any time, and allows you to independently track future progress on VirtaMed simulators wherever you train.
VirtaMed simulators come equipped with original instruments; a variety of pathologies, the highest visual and tactile realism, and objective performance feedback to provide a complete training experience that will allow you to repeat the necessary skills and procedures in a risk-free environment. VirtaMed is proud to be the preferred and exclusive partner of AANA for virtual reality simulation training, and to collaborate with the Swiss Orthopaedics certification board on a mandatory exam for all doctors specializing in orthopaedics. In collaboration with the Francophone Society of Arthroscopy (SFA), VirtaMed is conducting a nationwide study in arthroscopic training methods with the ambition to create a national curriculum that includes simulation. Furthermore, VirtaMed has partnered with the Society for Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery (AGA), working together in evaluating the best way to implement VR into surgical training as well as running courses regularly throughout the year.
